First off, I really love this product.It's the quickest, easiest way to swaddle my baby girl, who sleeps much better at night when she's securely wrapped up.We went with this kind of swaddle over a blanket because she has been a "mobile sleeper" since birth, and always managed to wriggle out of our blanket swaddle.Note that these notes below pertain to the small size.

Now - here's what you need to know about sizing, based on my three months of experience and multiple attempts to get it right.
- There are three kinds of swaddle fabrics at the time I'm writing this:
1. Flannel (in the gingham prints)
2. Fleece
3. Cotton jersey (like a t-shirt).This variety has the most options in terms of patterns and colors.

I've arranged them in that order because that's the order of smallest to largest.The flannel variety stretches, well, not at all. It's the smallest of the three types of fabrics, therefore, in terms of fit.(My daughter outgrew her small size swaddle at 13 pounds, after washing it a few times - even though it's supposed to fit up to 14.)The fleece variety does stretch a bit - she's now 15 pounds and this still fits her.

The cotton variety is the stretchiest one - and it REALLY stretches.The first time after I wash and dry it, it's pretty snug.But if I'm lucky enough to get 2 or 3 nights of use out of it, by the third night it's considerably bigger than it was.I just bought another small cotton one and my baby's 15 pounds.

What's more, I just bought a flannel gingham swaddle in large, and that fits her great.(But the cotton variety in large was HUGE and I'm returning it.)Anyway - hope this is helpful to all of you out there.This is a great product and I wish you luck!

I really like this mattress. I did a lot of research and I was very confident in my final decision when purchasing this mattress for our baby. The mattress is very firm, fits snug in our crib, and sheets fit it well. When I was researching mattresses I liked the fact that this mattress does not have a metal frame that toddlers can use to help them climb out of their cribs. I also liked that I did not have to purchase a mattress pad to protect the mattress because of the welded seems. I am able to just wipe the mattress down if my baby spits-up or has a diaper leak. The mattress can get cold without a mattress pad, but it's my choice not to use one. My baby started rolling very early and prefers to sleep on his tummy. I have some peace of mind that he's at leastsleeping on a nice firm mattress.

I had been trying to find this set at a local store so I could see it in person. Unfortunately I couldn't but I loved the color and design. If it arrived and was 75% of what it looked like in the photo I would be satisfied. It was even better though!

The black trim on the blanket is actually black velvet. The beautiful damask pattern is embroidered and sewn on and is not a flat pattern on the fabric. The bumper is half a cream with green & black outlined flower and the other part of the bumper is black and cream striped.

The main photo hides the actual dust ruffle which is GORGEOUS. Cream with a black damask thick trim and green velvet trim where it meets the mattress.

The boudoir accent pillow is black velvet embroidered with the green and cream leaves and green velvet trim. The color is spot on. It is an avocado/retro green.

The sherpa blanket is satin on one side with the common super soft cream fuzzy chenille on the other side.

The sheet is the same green with a small darker shade of green dot pattern on it. It is such a great mix of colors and textures I would highly recommend this set for a girls' room with a twist.

The fabrics are all durable and thick, it is well made.

I love, love, LOVE this bedding!

I purchased the Picci Cortina Carry basket for my baby for nights when the baby will sleep in our room as well as times when we are on the move.I like it so much better than a clunky pack-and-play and it's beautiful too.I'm not sure what the weight limits are but we'll have to see as the baby gets bigger.I plan to go buy more sheets as the one sheet that it does come with seems to be a bit flimsy and likely will not hold up to several washing.Also, the first one that was delivered arrived with the box somewhat crushed so I contacted Amazon to return it.They sent a new one at no cost overnight and reimbursed me for my return shipping no questions asked.Great customer service!

I bought this bedding set for my daughter due in August. I was nervous that the pink would be too pale or too bright, but the colors are perfect and go with most other shades of pink and brown.The mobile I bought that matched was nice quality like the bedding, but it's a wind up and doesn't last that long. The crib bedskirt is very pretty with tassles and the fabric did well being washed. I was a little disappointed that the bumper ties weren't that long (I couldn't tie them into bows, only able to knot them) Also, they don't have ties on the bottom of the bumper, just the top, which I was wanting to really secure it well. The bumper is very stuffed though and maintains it shape. Overall I think this set will hold up well, but I gave it 4 stars for the bumper and the price.

This is a waste of money if you have a large baby like mine. The bassinet only holds up to 15lbs and once baby outgrows bassinet you've now lost all the cool sounds, light, vibration. My baby outgrew the top portion at 2 1/2 months! I could have easily just got a smaller and cheaper one without all the bells in whistles.

Pro's: Lot's of space, cute, great for travel shade to avoid the light hitting their face, surprisingly comfy, easy to put together (and yes even back in the bag), LOVE the changing table, love the vibration, easy to tote around too.

Con's: Easily outgrew bassinet, big for small places, wide for door ways (set it up where you'll need it), not cheap, and you can't remove the shade.

I initially started out with a unisex bedding set for my daughter from her birth.She had a froggy set.I got tired of it and wanted to go with something more feminine without too much pink or frilly girly stuff like flowers and butterflies.My daughter loves animals, especially monkeys and elephants so I thought this set would be perfect.

When I got it, I was overjoyed at how precious this set is.It's much better in person than via the photo.I ended up getting an extra window valance (since this set comes with one) and I'm glad I did because it gives the window much more of a classy look to have the valance bunched rather than spread tightly across the top of the window.

I also got the matching rug, extra blanket, the wall hangings, and the stuffed monkey.I wish this set came with a matching wastebasket and tissue box (but it doesn't) so I ended up getting a wicker wastebasket and it matches nicely with this jungle theme.

The quality of CoCalLo products is much better than the other set I had and other sets I've seen.It seems pricey but it's well worth it, especially when it comes to safety.The other set I had started coming apart.The tie-downs for the bumper began ripping off a very short time after getting the set.Not very safe if she pulled it off herself and stuffed it into her mouth at night when we were sleeping.This set is VERY DURABLE and I won't have to worry about any of it coming apart like that.

I love this product.I bought a pink microfleece one before my 4th child was born 6 weeks ago and after getting out of the hospital, sent my mom to the local Babies R Us to pick up several more in different colors for me (I ended up buying 5 total).I bought 5 because I hate doing laundry so I wanted enough to last more than a week, that's the only reason, not because I had any problems with the product's performance.

As for the person who called this a cheap knock-off, I think maybe they weren't using the product correctly.My baby was 7 1/4 lbs, 19 inches and the blankets have worked fine with her, no problems whatsoever even though she is quite a squirmer.

It takes a little bit of practice to swaddle, even with this product, though this product makes it much easier.I think this must have been the other reviewer's problem.Maybe the Miracle Blanket makes swaddling totally foolproof, I don't know, I've not tried one.If you are willing to put forth a very small amount of effort and practice, the Kiddopotamus blankets will work just fine.My baby loves them and so do I.

The set looks very nice. I love the colors and design. The bumper seems a bit bulky - it is a lot fatter than the bumpers I saw on other sets. The stitching on the tie-strings came undone as I tied it up for the first time. Overall I am still happy with this product. Order early - the shipping on this is really slow.
14 months later... the set still looks good, but the binding is tearing off the bumpers.

Put this on your registry! I love this blanket, and everyone who sees it wants one too. The only thing that I do not like is the price so I wish that I had put it on my registry. It's a perfect gift for a new mom. I used another blanket to cover my infant in his carseat/carrier the first few months, and it was such a pain. I was always picking it up off the floor and trying to fold it and keep him covered. This blanket is just the right size, and the ties are a godsend. The soft side is SO soft, and I'm thrilled to have the waterproof side because the little canopy on the carrier doesn't completely cover him when it's raining. I purchased this after reading all of the reviews on here, mainly due to the long play time, and the gradual shutting down of the crib soother. Apon reciept, the picture here does look much different than the item does in person, as far as the screen - but it doesn't make me any less happy with the product.
One review complained about the volume, buy my soother does have 2 volume levels, and I think even the loud one, isn't very loud. The quiet is perfect.
One review also complained about 2 units that stopped working. I have discovered why! When the batteries begin to fail, the until stops working in phases. All of a sudden the motion wouldn't work on our unit. Because I had read the previous reviews, I initially thought my players was broken too because we still had light and music.
Then a few days later, the light would only work for about 5 minutes at a time, but we still had long periods of music. So I thought yep, its garbage.But then my husband said, well, lets just change the batteries.
And like new - the whole thing works again!!
So I'm guessing that the gradual systems stopping is meant to be an indicator that the batteries are wearing down.It doesn't mean the unit is defective.I didn't check it at first, because I thought they were new batteries - but it turns out my husband and just put in the ones from our old crib player.
So with this revelation, I can say I am perfectly happy with this player. I love the length of play, the gradual shut down and I really LOVE the remote function. I'm happy!

I have a 8.8# Boston that did not fit into the Traveler.I returned the Traveler and order the Traveler Plus.There is plenty of room for her to sit up or to lie down.I think this size should be able to accomodate a 15# dog. I'm still not convinced it would fit a 20#. The carrier seems to be sturdy-well made.Not much room in the outside pockets for storage. I wish there was more padding on the straps and back for using as a backpack.

We've always bought very cheap $40 car seats but they were hard, uncomfortable, and difficult to properly adjust. So when my second child was starting to get too heavy for his infant seat we decided to purchase this for both our 2 year old daughter and our 5 month old son. Our first concern was that we wanted something that would make it very easy to adjust so that my children had a proper fit, every time.The cheapie car seat straps would always get twisted and if my daughter was wearing something slightly thicker it was very difficult to get the straps on and positioned correctly. Also the cheapie car seat my daughter was using was small, but due to the angle it had to be at (no base), it barely fit in our small car rear facing.But even though these seats are much bigger, the steady base and the recline feature makes this a really good fit for our car (a small Saturn). We can finally drive with our seats back in the most comfortable position for us. This car was a snap to install.And it's super easy to adjust.We can put either child in either seat and within seconds have it adjusted for that child's fit.The tension adjuster is pressed up against the seat but we're still able to reach it and turn it without much difficulty.As a bonus, this is a very nicely padded and comfortable seat.My daughter used to hate the car but loves sitting in her car seat now.My son used to fuss every time he got in his infant seat but he is now much happier with this seat.The material is very soft and yet seems very durable.The cup holder is definitely flimsy.We don't use it because it looks like it would break with a use or two.My daughter prefers to hold her sippy cup anyway.Overall we are more than pleased with this car seat.

There were many parts, but the detailed directions made it easy to put together. It took my husband about 1 hour. I have these in small, medium and large and have used them with two children. They are wonderful. Thick and cozy, they solve the blanket issue for little ones. I love that they unzip from the top or bottom and have an open bottom because it makes it so much easier to change a diaper in the middle of the night. Halo's sleep sack is nice (I have one of those as well), but it's flimsy compared to the quality of these and it only has one zipper and you have to take your child's feet out to diaper. I cannot say enough about how wonderful I have found these to be. The only thing is that I wish they came in extra large. I've had to get a Halo in extra large after my child could no longer fit into the Babylicious large.

After looking around for a safer alternative to a mattress that our daughter would be sleeping on, we decided to splurge and get this mattress from Naturepedic.

It arrived before the estimated shipping date which was a nice surprise.It was also very well packaged (a giant cardboard box that fit around the whole mattress).

After taking the mattress out of the plastic, there was no smell whatsoever.What a nice change!I didn't have to air it out.I just placed it in the crib and put the crib sheet on.

Our baby has been sleeping in on this mattress for 3 months now and she has not complained at all.She sleeps 9 hrs + at night and naps on it during the day as well.I've read that some people said that the mattress was hard and that they thought it was too hard for their baby.I don't think it is at all.You want your mattress to be a little firm especially to prevent SIDS.

We did have on occasion times when we needed to wipe down the mattress and that was very easy.Damp cloth...wipe...done!The seamless aspect will definitely come in handy for the bigger messes where I won't have to worry about any pee seeping into the seams.

One thing I did notice is that where she sleeps, it is starting to indent or leave a little impression.She's about 14lbs now.I'm rotating the mattress today to see if that will make a difference.

Oh one more thing, one side is suppose to be a little firmer for babies while the other side is a little more padded/softer for toddlers.

I would definitely buy this mattress again.

Cotton Tale Designs Paradise Musical Mobile Review

First of all, a minor disclaimer- even though I bought this about 6 months ago, it looks like they have made some minor changes: 1) the fabric on the arm looks to be greenish-yellow; the one I have is leopard print. 2) The dragonflies appear to be oriented parallel to the mattress; mine has them hanging from their noses, perpendicular to the mattress (which is less visible from below, where baby is laying). This is definitely an improvement.Apart from that it appears to be the same basic mobile.

Why 2 stars? The set itself (with bedding etc) is adorable and very cute, great design! But despite this being an adorable mobile that matches well with the set, I really regret buying this one instead of one of the more nifty ones such as those made by tiny love. The main reason? It winds up. I thought I wouldn't mind, but when baby needs a distraction, it's a HUGE drag to go in again and again to wind it up. It only plays for ~5 minutes. Second, other mobiles have much more interesting stuff to look at. Third, many of the other ones have a musical base which later converts to a musical crib toy, with buttons the kids can push to play tunes. This does not- and I'd really like to have the crib music player.

I can't quite bring myself to buy a better one, but I wish I hadn't bought this. Instead, I wish I had boughtTiny Love Sweet Island Dreams Mobile or Fisher Price Rainforest Peek-A-Boo Leaves Musical Mobile

I have always liked stencils but have found that I don't have the enormous amount of time it takes to paint them onto the walls...and then when it's time to change a room's theme you have to paint over them.

This set is wonderful.I purchased TWO sets (which you'll need even if you have a small child's room) and stuck them on the walls within about 30 minutes.They are easy to apply, stick very well, and if you change your mind you can peel them off and restick them a couple of times before the sticky part stops working.They are really nice because they aren't super shiny so they actually look like they could be painted on.

They really add a lot to the room and after paying a fortune for the bedding set, the room didn't quite "look" like the theme until I applied these to the walls.I'm glad I got two sets of these instead of only one.If you have an extra large child's room, you may consider getting three sets.

And when it DOES play, it lasts for about 30 seconds. This is a shoddy product that defeats the purpose of having a mobile. It's really annoying for mom and baby. I borrowed a Traveller from a friend for an overseas trip with my 10-month old and liked it so much that I bought my own.It's lightweight, easy to set up, packs small enough to fit into a suitcase, and definitely fills the need for a playpen/crib in a hotel room.However, we just returned from a week-long trip, and my almost-brand new Traveller exhibited some serious quality issues.The zipper broke on the stuff sack, the zipper came unstitched on the top panel, and one of the tightening pulls on a leg came off. My friend's Traveller has shown none of these problems, so maybe I just got a bum one.The Phil & Ted's warranty, though, seems much more restrictive than similar high-end producers so we'll see what they say.

The First Years - Crib CD Player Review

I got this cd player because I had such a hard time finding lullibies on tape.I had read the other comments but thought I would give it a try anyway.
Bad points-It DOES skip when its hit, so don't hit it. The light IS dim, so what? I want the kids to sleep not see what to get into! The music IS low even on the highest setting, but then again the whole house isn't listening to it.
Good points-It plays the whole CD then shuts itself off.(At least mine does!)It uses CDs which can be found ANYWHERE.Its small enough that I can put it on the wall side of my crib and I know my other children CAN'T play with it!!The buttons are a pain to get to, but thats GREAT where kids are concerned, right??
As for the batteries, I've had mine a few weeks, play it EVERY night and have yet to replace the batteries.
I happen to really like mine.Give it a try, save your receipt and make up your own mind.

I ordered this because my daughter needs to be swaddled at night due to her eczema, so she doesn't scratch. I also use the Kiddopotamus & Co 100% Cotton Swaddler, but the large is getting to be a bit small, which is why I ordered this product, since it goes up to 18 months.

It works well in the car as well, since you can put the baby in the carseat with it.

My only gripe is the fact that it doesn't have velcro. The wraps are long enogh to actually wrap around the baby, but if she wiggles enough, she manages to get her arms loose (not that she doesn't do that with the other swaddler).

Overall, it's a good product, just the velcro would be nice.

I bought the stroller for our new Siberian kitten. He loves to play in the stroller when it is inside and is really fascinated when we take him outside in the stroller. He is not afraid of it and enjoys being outdoors. This allows us to give him that freedom and keep him safe at the same time. The only thing I think could be improved upon in the construction of the stroller is the way the carrier is fastened to the stroller portion. It is held on with two bungee cords below and tends to slip a little when you have to tip it to get up on curbs over big bumps, etc. However, that is minor and I just make sure that I pick it up rather than tip it.

I replaced our old Ocean Wonders Aquarium soother with this Rainforest Waterfall version about a month and a half ago.The Aquarium was still working and our baby liked the lights and music, but I was looking for something that would play for a longer period of time.With the Aquarium, I had to go in her room and press the button a couple of times before she would fall back asleep.Not fun at 3 or 4 in the morning when all I want to do is fall back asleep.I had read that the Waterfall soother plays for up to 18 minutes, so I thought I'd check it out.

The soother has 3 different length settings: lights, music/sounds, and movement for 6 minutes; lights and music/sounds for 12 minutes; music/sounds only for 18 minutes.There are 3 settings for the sounds: rainforest sounds without music; rainforest sounds and lullabies; rainforest sounds and classical music.There are 3 volume settings as well.

I have ours set for 12 minutes of sounds and lullabies and I rarely have to go back in her room and press the button a second time.She almost instantly settles down once the music starts.If I happen to put her down for a nap or for bed while she's still awake, she'll quietly watch the lights and fall asleep on her own.And I'll admit that hearing the songs and rainforest noises over the baby monitor is soothing and relaxing as I try to fall back asleep.

My only complaint is that the lights seem REALLY bright for something that is supposed to lull a baby to sleep.I ended up covering ours with a light flannel blanket to dull the light a bit.The baby can't see the critters, but since I don't have them set to move, it's not really a big deal.

Despite the bright lights, we're happy with this soother.

This bedding is wonderful! I didn't want to go with animals, pastels, etc for my little boy but I still wanted something that said BOY. This goes great with the car theme we have in his room. The colors in the picture are a little misleading (but then again when aren't they?!) but they are better in real life. The yellow is more of a golden wheat, the red is a real brick red, the blue has some zig zag lines so its not solid blue and the brown is a suede material that is so rich looking! This set doesn't feel or look cheap. I like that there are several different patterns, they all work really well together. Many of the different pieces have different patterns so it doesn't match but it cordinates really well. If you are looking for a versitile, good quality bed set (with many matching room pieces) that are a good buy for the money, pick this set!!

Chicco Lullaby LX Playard Review

I picked this up at Babies-R-Us for $179 in the tan/cream colors that were not offered on Amazon. That design may be an exclusive to Babies-R-Us. The play yard is pretty easy to set up and it probably took me about 30 minutes from start to finish. So far I've left the changing table up 24/7 and let the baby sleep in the bassinet. My baby loves to look at the stuffed animals that hang from the top (elaphant, zebra, lion, giraffe, and rabbit...which of those doesn't fit with the theme?).

The changing table is vinyl and its easy to wipe off if you have an accident while changing. There are three mesh bags hanging off the side of the changing table to store changing supplies. This is my biggest complaint about this product. This isn't the best design for storing supplies. It's ok, not great. The changing table is sturdy and feels secure enough. It's attached to the play yard with a zipper and four buckles.

The removable corner unit controls the music/volume, light, and vibrate features. There is also a remote control and everything uses AA batteries (6 total). The music is ok and it has decent sound. The light is ok (we rarely ever use it) and the vibrate feature hardly even vibrates the mattress. My baby does seem to like it, so it must do something. Every feature times out after 6 minutes, which is nice, and the remote control can can turn everything on or off.

Pros: looks nice, sturdy, remote control, ease of use
Cons: hardly any storage for wipes, diapers, etc..., only a few songs, vibrate function barely vibrates the mattress

Overall the pros outweigh the cons and I'd recommend this product to anyone who is shopping for play yards.

Pet Travel Wheel Away Review

I searched high and low for a backpack-style carrier I could use to take my dog to the vet weekly for her fluid therapy. She's 15, a schnauzer-dachshund mix (think long schnauzer or tall dachshund), 14 pounds and still pretty fidgety. She can't make the long walk anymore, and I don't have a car. The medium Wheel Away is the perfect size, even with her extra length. She can sit upright or lie down comfortably. Turning around inside is more challenging, but it can be done. I almost always carry her using the backpack straps, which are very comfortable and solid. My dog sometimes likes to sit and poke her head out of a small opening I make for her, but more often she simply lies down and goes for the ride, which tells me she's at ease with the carrier. The smartest feature is the mesh on three sides, giving her the ability to see what's going on around her and reducing panic. The side pockets are ample. I've rarely used the telescoping handle - she doesn't like the jerky nature of being pulled - but I'd probably use it in an airport where the floors are smooth. The carrier is sturdy and durable, easy to break down and collapse for storage . . . I really can't find anything to complain about. The designers simply got it right. I saw a pet owner with another brand of this type of carrier, and it looked poorly constructed by comparison; but this particular carrier apparently changed names, so there are two names it comes under. You can tell which to choose because it should be advertised as having won a design award in recent years. The only thing I'd change or recommend to the manufacturer is to loop the backpack straps at the ends to slip your hands in. I simply took the carrier to a shoe repair shop and had the loops stitched. Now all that's left is the final test - whether airlines accept the carrier for in-cabin travel and if it really does fit under the seat. The best purchase I've made in a long time. One warning: For whatever reason, and I'd read this before my purchase, you might get a different color carrier from what you ordered. I ordered black but got a red carrier instead. No big deal.

Kittywalk Cozy Cabin - Green Review

This is what I was told when I tried to return my Kittywalk Cozy Cabin. I ordered the carrier from Pet Solutions (vendor). Instead of arriving in 7-10 days, it took over 2 weeks (too late for my trip.) Pet Solutions had me sendcarrier back to kittywalk (at my expense). Kittywalk was to notify the vendor when the package arrived and then I would get my refund. Kittywalk was notified of the plan (by me.) I was informed of a 25% restocking fee. I explained that I was returning the item for poor service and that I should not have to pay a fee. The employee on the phone said that they would waive the fee. Package arrived at kittywalk on 7/28, but by 8/25, I still had not received a refund. When I called Kittywalk, they informed me that they do not issue refunds daily (but it had been a month.) They called me back (same day) and told me they had issued the refund to Pet Solutions, minus the 25% restocking fee. I reminded her that this was supposed to be waived. She denied saying this, of course. I asked to speak to the boss, and he simply said that I was not their customer and that he would not talk to me. They lied to Pet Solutions, telling them I agreed to pay the fee. I have never been treated so rudely. Pet Solutions was quite passive. I had to do all of the leg work with no real help from them.

We bought this playard because after looking at the different ones in stores this was the only one that had the diaper changing table supported on all four corners instead of just two corners. We expected and got a big baby and two and a half months and fifteen pounds later we still use it for practically every diaper change. The playard itself is incredibly stable so we feel really safe putting our baby in it. The only downside is that it is kind of bulky and heavy so it is not as portable as some of the other models out there, but we just figure that is the trade off for the kind of stablility the Chicco offers and wouldn't buy a different one if we could go back and do it over.

Grandpa is a pilot and Pawpaw was an aircraft mechanic, so what better nursery decor than one involving airplanes.I had not seen this set, other than pictures on the internet, when I ordered it - and I didn't get to see it in person until four months after it arrived at my daughter's.I was pleasantly surprised at the quality construction and the design!

Lambs and Ivy has produced a product that is well constructed with nicely finished seams and edges.By using different fabrics - cotton, corduroy, and napped surfaces - the set providess both textural and visual interest to stimulate Baby's senses.The fabrics do not appear to be flimsy or cheap.The comforter and bumper pad are particularly nice.One does need to be careful not to use the bumper pad for newborns as it is a softly padded construction which is not recommended for young babies.When the baby is old enough for this to be used, the bumper pad will be a lovely addition to his crib.The fitted sheet is sturdy, but the fabric is not rough.The seams are sewn with smaller stitches so they should not pull out as some other commercial products have done.The elastic used to make this a fitted sheet is enclosed in self-fabric casing instead of being sewn directly onto the sheet edges.I would recommend ordering an additional valence since the one that comes with this set will only be sufficient for a small window.

I would recommend this bedding set to anyone looking for an airplane themed nursery set.If other Lambs and Ivy bedding sets are as well crafted, anyone would be pleased to receive them for the nursery.

This carrier is well made but the measurements and weight reference is misleading.The measurents are for the outside of the carrier including the wheels and sides (that expand somewhat but not enough to make a difference)not the interior of the carrier. The top is much narrower than the bottom. My dog weighs 8 1/2#s and just fit into the carrier, her head almost touched the top of the carrier in a sitting position.. I returned it and am waiting for the larger Traveller Plus to arrive hoping that will give her head room. The carrier might be able to handle the weight of a 25# dog but a 25# surely wouldn't fit comfortably in it. To use as a backback for any hiking I will need to add more padding between the carrier and myself. The product seems to be well made.

The Original Crumb Chum Red Dalmatians Review

I originally wrote this for the denim Crumb Chum we have, but it applies to all of them.

We've tried every bib out there, and nothing comes close to the Crumb Chum. It is one of the single most useful baby products in the possession of anyone fortunate enough to acquire one -- the luxury sedan of eating accessories.

They are made of the same kind of waterproof polyester fabric that some shower liners are made from, but a bit more lightweight and breathable.

They may cost a little more than basic bibs, but they last a lot longer too, since they don't crack like a lot of the plastic bibs we had. They also probably save far more than what we paid for them in loads of laundry we don't have to do. Mealtime used to mean an automatic change of clothes and an outfit thrown in the wash. Either that or stripping our kids down for every meal. And even if we were willing to get them naked, there would still be a half hour cleaning the chair, as bits of lunch seemed to find their way into every possible crevice. And car seats? Forget it--in the lining, between the lining and the shell, in the seat, under the floor mat, in the doorwell. I think I found a cheerio in the glove compartment once. Eating in restaurants was also tough. We really like indian food and so do both of our kids, but a ten-minute post-dinner ritual of sweeping up saffron rice with a napkin, not to mention suffering under waitstaff glowers, removes much of the appeal of dining out. With the Crumb chum, I have given our 2-year old pad thai at the dining room table and yogurt tubes in the car and walked away unscathed.

They are really comfortable, enough so that our daughter is willing to wear them as an apron or smock for crafts and water play.

They are SUPER easy to clean. Most of the time, I just wipe them down with a sponge, or hold them under the faucet, then let them dry on a dish rack. If they're really goopy, or it's berry season, they can go in the wash (and dryer) with other clothes.

Since they travel so well, we like to keep a couple at home, a couple in the backpack and a couple in our picnic basket for concerts, camping trips, etc. We got them in all the patterns, since our daughter tends to cycle through preferences.

FYI - The manufacturer recommends the toddler size for kids 15 months and above, but we put them on our 11-month old, and though she was swimming in it a bit, it worked great.

Prince Lionheart Original Slumber Bear with Silkie Blanket Review

This is a great item. I found out about it on the "Baby Whisperer" forums. We have this hung on the side of my baby's crib where her feet can kick it (and start it) when she fidgets. Sometimes she will wake and start to fidget and when this comes on she settles right down and goes back to sleep. We also turn it on for her as part of our routine to signal that it is time to go to sleep. The first time we used it she was two weeks old and she wasn't settling down. When we turned it on she perked up, listened intently, and then practically melted into my shoulder! She went off to sleep pretty quickly after that.

It is a shame it only runs for five minutes, but I've found that my baby tends to kick it when it shuts off. We hear it run multiple times during the night also. If it didn't shut off after five minutes it would run the batteries out even quicker.

Ah yes, the great problem with this product.... We go through a set of four AAA batteries every three days with this! Thankfully we got ourselves some rechargeables, but even then you need two sets so one can charge while you use the other one.

I didn't find the silkie particulaly useful. Maybe when she is older she'll want it for something, but right now we can't put it close to her without it being a hazard and she doesn't seem to know it exists if it isn't very close. Perhaps other babies will be different.

The sound box is not very loud when it is inside the bear. We ended up taking it out and hanging it by it's velcro strip to the bear's arm so that it could be turned towards our baby.

A great feature of this product is that the sound becomes more and more faint as the battery dies. This way she can still hear it, but we know that the batteries need changing.

There is an on and off switch and a volume control knob.

In our house this has been very well worth the purchase price. Very worthwhile!

This is a very good product and well designed.It slips over the dog's head really easily, goes under the stomach and the straps snap into the back clips from there.With other products I've used the dog has to step into the restraint etc. and it's a real pain.I like that it is a full vest too.When my dog pulls or moves it is not digging into their stomach like some do and it anchors the pet very securely around the chest.The only thing I would like is a shorter attachment that goes to the seat belt.I've resolved this by just knotting it up making it shorter.I've used other devices and this one is so easy to get on and off.The other nice feature is that it slips over the head easily so if you want to use a regular dog collar and leash getting in or out of the car you can without hassle.If you live in a warm climate the vest may get warm on your dog though.My dog is in between medium and large too and I had trouble finding other products that fit just right.The sizing on this product fits many different dogs.I'm very happy with this product.

I bought the Pet Gear-I-GO2 for my 3months old pug, for a trip to San Francisco.

First of all, people at the airport loved the looks of it! They asked were I had purchased it. My pug was comfortable in it and I was happy to roll him everywhere I went. It fit perfectly underneath the seat. I love the color! It is well made. I only wish it was bigger because I don't think he'll fit in it when he is 15 lbs. He is 9 lbs. at the moment.
